Old Fir Tree Hit by Lightning

These are a couple of photos I took of a huge old fir tree next door.  It’s trunk was hit by lightning many years ago, and split.  The branches are now growing up to compensate for the lack of height caused by the lightening strike.  It also produces the most amazing amount of pollen every year, which coats everything outside (including any animals who might be in the backyard, water bowls, clothes on the line etc).
