Some Photos of mangroves at Meadowbank, random rabbit and trees on bushwalk yesterday

Yesterday I went with a group of old friends for a bushwalk from Meadowbank Station to Homebush Bay at Olympic Park, where we caught the Rivercat back to Circular Quay.  It was a beautiful day although very humid and we walked 10 kilometres in total.  Some of the walkers are in their eighties and can give me a run for my money.

We came across a rabbit at the start of the walk who was nonchalantly munching on grass beside the stairs down to the walking/bike track.  He didn’t even look up when I took his photo.

The mangroves along Parramatta River are magnificent and I had to take photos of them with the tide coming up through their roots and all the new little mangrove shoots forcing their way up through the mud.
