Gilbert again in Sweet Repose

“Matchstick” Bromeliads and Gilbert on his Sleeper in the Sun

Here are a few pictures of a clump of bromeliads in flower in my front garden.   They are known as “matchstick” bromeliads because of their flower structure with contrasting tips,  but their botanical name is ACHMEA GAMOSEPELA.  They are looking particularly colourful this year.  Some other bromeliads growing up a tree fern behind the front fence have been home to some frogs after rain.   Also a few of Gilbert the cat soaking up the sun on his railway sleeper, his favourite spot outdoors.

This is bliss!
